#1 - Sailing w/ Charlie DeWeese on "Happy Talk" - Sailaway.net. He picked us up right in front (aka this beach)!
#2 - Massages w/Lauren. She set right up in the other house.
#3 - Puzzles on the big table after sunset.

What a magical place to stay! The weather was super and the fishing was great. The kids had a blast making fires and playing in the hammock. The Compass Rose had everything we needed for our stay. We'll definitely be back. Ciao!

What a wonderful place to come with the family and get away from it all. This place is truly a gem. The kayaks made for a good time. Other wonderful memories include campfires, bocce tournaments, biking, relaxing, reading, etc. We feel very fortunate to have been able to spend some time here at the Compass Rose.

We had a really great stay here, in a perfect house with a breathtaking view. We enjoyed the beach and the kids loved kayaking. Boat trips to Matia and Sucia were great. We saw lots of Porpoises playing with our boat and Orcas just from the deck of the house.

We had a wonderful time, but we have to go back home to Germany.

We knew this would be a great family vacation, but couldn't begin to imagine! We laughed, played board games, ejoyed the theater, beach fire, comfortable beds and loved the big farm table to gather all together for terrific meals! (including mussels!)

Thank you, endlessly, for sharing your island retreat. What a great way to show of the Northwest beauty to my Montana family.

The birds and seals put on several shows a day. It was surprisingly sunny and warm most of the days. The only thing missing was an Orca appearance.

It enabled the many members of our two extended families to meet – in many cases for the first time – and connect in a way we had never connected before, creating lasting bonds of fellowship for which I am greatly appreciative!

The facility was far more than we expected or imagined, and made possible an experience that everyone enjoyed and which otherwise could not have happened. In every way, it was beautiful, and perfect for us! Everyone was awed! I, in particular, am awed at the loving generosity of the owners – not only in creating the home in the first place, but in the love and creativity that went into furnishing it so beautifully and lavishly, and in their willingness to sharing it with strangers! What was so surprising and very perfect for us was to find it furnished with every recreational toy and housekeeping item we could possibly need! We never expected that!! "I thought I would sign the guest book on our first day rather than our last & see if my optimism might shine through without the bit of melancholy bound to be present later! Apparently we are the first renters [at Compass Rose] with Gudrun. I hope this next phase of the house's "life" goes well for everyone. Perusing the guest book confirms the source of this house's awesome energy. Lots of love, friendship, joy and peace. While these are more than enough, the site is beyond spectacular too. My only regret is that this is the first time I've ever remembered "coveting" something! It's a beautiful spot for beautiful moments. Thank you."
